2011 Teachers of the Year

The Alameda County Office of Education is proud to announce this year's winners of the celebrated Teacher of the Year Awards. Nineteen districts submitted their "2011 Teacher of the Year." The district winners were recognized for their achievements during an award ceremony on October 6 at the San Leandro Arts Education Center.

Two teachers were chosen as Alameda County Teachers of the Year and are now qualified for California State Teacher of the Year: Tom Collett, Newark Unified School District; and Karen McMahon, Tri-Valley ROP. To view event pictures click here.
